Detailed information

Many kinds of machinery and engineering apparatus affected by vibrations and noise problems. These problems elevate dramatically when there is no technique to prevent vibrations or it damage after a short period. This research aims to study and improve some passivating specifications of rubber blends. Seven different rubber recipes based on mixtures of rubbers Butyl Rubber (IIR), Polybutadiene Rubber (BRcis), Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) and Neoprene Rubber (CR)in addition to the Natural Rubber(NR) was prepared according to the specification of AL-Dewania rubber factory. A number of tests such as tensile strength ,hardness, friction, rheological, resistance to compression , fatigue, resilience and creep in addition to scanning electron microscopy (SEM) test was performed to selected the best from the seven recipes then compared it with this that used in AL-Kufa cement factory. The results shows that, recipe containing ( BRcis 40% and NR 60%) is the best due to the good mechanical properties and minimum rebound resilience (9.1% reduction in rebound resilience and 52.9% increasing in fatigue life).
