Detailed information

The book will essentially serve for researchers in the field of Corrosion Science & Engineering. It is imparting intensive and extensive knowledge of ion implantation effects on hydrogen adsorption, permeation and embrittlement of high strength steel. The ion implantation has done on the substrate by a technique of plasma source ion implantation (PSII) which is beneficial for the surface modification of the substrate. It deals mainly electro chemical aspects, compressive stress effects and subsurface microstructure aspects of ion implantation on hydrogen embrittlement. The hydrogen adsorption and diffusivity variation due to different plasma treatment parameters have been investigated. The author takes the opportunity of expressing his thanks to management of Lambert academic publishing press for their guidance & help in the publication of the book.
