Detailed information

This book was in attempt to examine the impact of workplace empowerment on nurses' control over their practice and their job satisfaction. It was conducted in 28 Intensive Care Units (ICUs) at El Manial University Hospital. The study sample was (75) nurses. Data was collected using three tools, Workplace Empowerment, C/NP and job satisfaction questionnaires. The findings of the study showed that, nurses at El- Manial University Hospital had low access to workplace empowerment structures, moderate level of control over their practice and moderate level of job satisfaction. Workplace empowerment had a highly statistically significant relationship with both nurses' control over their practice and job satisfaction. But, it was considerably very important for nurses to have control over their practice and in turn, it can lead to job satisfaction.
