Detailed information

Power Electronics is the application of solid-state electronics control and conversion of electric power. In modern systems the conversion is performed with semiconductor switching devices such as diodes, thyristor and transistor. An AC/DC converter (rectifier) is the most typical power electronics device found in many consumer electronic devices. This book is the manual of the experiments of the Power Electronics, modification of the reference given. The book contains eight chapters. Chapter 1 gives briefly description of BJT and experiments related to its static characteristics and MOSFET concept and experiments on static characteristics have been described in Chapter 2. Chapter 3 brings the details of UJT and its static characteristics test process and IGBT and its static characteristics test process is described in Chapter 4. In Chapter 5, the principle and operation of Thyristor with its static characteristics and all tests of SCR is given in Chapter 6. The multifunctional test of TRIA and DC to DC converters are given in Chapter 7 and 8 respectively.
